One of the most massively fun, colorful, fantasy-filled, elaborate costume balls you can ever imagine just happens to be held in Los Angeles every year. In it’s 18th year, the Labyrinth of Jareth Masquerade Ball is billed as the largest masquerade ball in the United States.
However, because of it’s proximity to Hollywood, the gala event ends up being a place for the top makeup artists, wardrobe stylists, costume designers, and special effects technicians to really show off their stuff!
This is no ComicCon cosplay kind of stuff … these are the pros doing their best to outdo each other in a formal atmosphere of merriment and an uninhibited celebration of the performance arts.
From belly dancers to acrobats, mermaids, fairies, elves, goblins, warriors and steampunk, The Labyrinth of Jareth Masquerade Ball has something for every fantasy enthusiast.
