Labyrinth Of Jareth Masquerade Ball – Saturday Finale (Part 3)

As we have shown in our coverage of Part 2 “Wandering The Corridors”, and Part 1 “Early Saturday Evening,” the Labyrinth of Jareth Masquerade Ball is nothing short of a feast for the eyes, a fantasy for the heart, and some serious dance beats to keep you moving throughout the nights. I say nights plural as the festivities actually began on Friday … but that’s at least another 2 or 3 blogs to come! 😉

In this, the Saturday Finale, we’re going to spend the next two hours from 11pm until 1am in the main Crystal Ballroom at the absolutely gorgeous Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles.

From the very beginning of the two night immersion created by producer Lord Shawn Strider of Sypher Arts Studio and director Sasha Travis, they are backed by a capable and extremely enthusiastic horde of Sypher Knights!

In cautioning Lord Strider about my own enthusiasm as a result of this visual feast, I also had to caution myself. When advising m’Lord he would need to keep me away with a mace in the future, it occurred to me that of everyone I have ever met working in Hollywood, this gentleman is the most likely to not only have multiple versions readily at hand, but a phalanx of very capable knights with which to wield them! 😀

The mischievous Zundri returned. As I began to learn more about the variety of creatures and characters I encountered over the weekend, it became clear to me that I had confused these inquisitive creatures with the ominous intentions of the Talisk in my Part 1 blog. For this Dear Zundri, I beg your forgiveness! :/

So, I decided to go to the source in order to rectify my error. According to Antonio G-r, “Hmmm… Well, it’s simple yet complicated.”

“The Zundri are creatures of nature. They move between the physical and metaphysical realms in the same way that a human moves along the edge of a beach: half way in the water and in the land. They clump together as protection when outside their bodies. They cover their bodies in mystic runes and their faces in masks, which evolve as they go through life, so when they see each other they instantly know each other’s past and persona, and through that, they are always in the now.”

“Not concerned about what will or what was. They don’t understand fear since dying only means transferring more permanently into the metaphysical… Except for the Lych king, who would absorb their souls.”

“The Zundri are attracted by powerful objects and creatures, curious about everything (specially shiny things). Beloved by the elementals, in their connection with nature and their mischievousness.”

Next came the Spider Queen and her Court … simultaneously impressive in her beauty yet … deliciously intimidating! 😉

I’m still trying to verify if this is one of the mysterious War Dancers I heard so many rumors about? I’m concerned about what they may have in store for #LOJ2016! [UPDATE: We have learned that this is actually one of the Shadow Shards, part of the Court of the Queen Of The Night. I’m STILL wondering about those War Dancers though!]

It seems some of the more playful guests are unaware of the potential danger in their midst!

Seeing her distress, I rescued this damsel and brought her to the stage next to me so she would feel safe. You must forgive me again though as I chose not to warn her … about this BIG, BAD photographer … and his makeup artist with … All. That. Glitter! 😉 hehe

Finally, it was time for the Goblin King Jareth to take the stage with his The Band That Fell To Earth: a David Bowie Odyssey.

And he quickly put the damsels all around me into such a swoon, they were his for the rest of the evening … every. single. one! 😀

A short break while the stage is reset leads to the discovery of Goblins in our midst as well. They certainly seem friendly enough! 🙂

Seriously, I was headed for a quick refreshment, but became captivated by this bird of paradise in the corridor.
