2004 – 2005: Glamour Quest TV

Started as a website in 2001, Glamour Quest became Lee Roth’s creative outlet. While there is an art to working on the red carpet; getting the person lit properly, into a good pose, hopefully looking at the camera, and maybe even smiling … it is not an artistic process!
With 40 to 60 photographers all yelling at the top of their lungs, “To your left! To your right! Straight ahead!” it can quickly turn into pandemonium. As the photographer in these circumstances where you may have 30 to 45 seconds with top name celebrities; it’s not your set, it’s not your lighting, and you’re certainly not in control of the talent!
Roth’s passion has always been scenic photography. As a professional photographer, it quickly became evident that there is very little left that has not been photographed … in better light, in better weather, at a different time of year, etc. If working in Hollywood taught him nothing else, he learned that if you stick a pretty girl in the foreground, you can actually sell that shot!

In the summer of 2004, the idea evolved into a concept for a reality television show and Glamour Quest TV was registered with the Writers Guild of America West (WGAw).
A demo reel was produced in late 2004 to take to the National Association of Television Production Executives (NATPE) held in January, 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada. At that time, in the television industry, if you wanted to get a show on the next fall’s schedule, you took it to NATPE, It’s where the entire industry gathered under one roof exclusively for the purpose of show development and marketing.
The show was pitched at the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) conference in the spring of 2005 and Roth heard those magic words from no less than three distributors, “Go to pilot!” Family tragedy struck soon thereafter and Roth made the difficult decision to shelve the project at the time.

The website and Writers Guild registration live on today, just in case someone is interested in the concept! For more information, please send an inquiry via our Contact Page (for serious inquiries only).

We create an experience she will never forget and images she will treasure for a lifetime! (TM)
